September 27, 2012 at Novartis

Therapeutic Flow for Lab Rats

Poh Teng, Ph.D.
Yoga Alliance registered Yoga Instructor
Postdoctoral Researcher, University of California, Berkeley
Four areas of the body are commonly stressed and subsequently injured due to repetitive work at the research bench and in the office: wrists, shoulders, upper back, and lower back. Learn how to prevent injuries and heal the body with simple stretches and remedies that can easily be done at the desk, in the lab, or at home. This will be an interactive class and it is recommended that you dress comfortably.
Poh studies modularity and the design of bacterial micro compartments in David Savage’s laboratory at UC Berkeley and has been practicing yoga since 2004. For more information, visit http://www.PohmYoga.com.
